What are Nanit Insights Plans?
Insights is a unique membership available through the Nanit App that taps into the in-depth data and analytics from your Pro Baby Monitor.
There are three different Insights Plans with varied offerings: Sleep, Memories, and Milestones.
All three Insights Memberships:
- Boost your confidence and understanding by offering in-depth sleep analytics and data, so you can spot patterns and get insights on your child’s sleep. Insights also sends you personalized advice and tips (like your very own sleep coach!).
- Help you feel more connected and bring you better peace of mind by unlocking smart notifications to let you know when your child needs your help such as Cry Detection, Baby Standing, and Child Out of Bed as well (more on those below).
- Make you smile by capturing sweet moments that you can save and share, like when your child first wakes up in the morning, video history to scroll through, and more.
- Support your family’s consistent sleep schedules and habits by linking your Nanit Baby Monitor and Sound + Light so you can use advanced tools such as our OK to Wake Smart Routine.

Nanit Insights Plan Comparison Guide
Below, we break down the ins and outs of our three different Nanit Insights Memberships: Sleep, Memories, and Milestones. Read on to discover more about what’s included with the different plans and find the option that best meets your needs!
1. Sleep Plan
The Nanit Insights Sleep Plan is our most basic plan, great for when you’re just starting out with Nanit and getting to know your baby and your Pro Baby Monitor.
Your purchase of a Pro Baby Monitor comes with a 6-month free introductory trial of the Sleep Plan so you can explore and learn from your baby’s sleep summaries and data.
Here’s what to expect from this Plan:
- Add up to 2 parenting team members
- See 2 days back of sleep analysis* and reports on the Dashboard, including stats like Sleep Onset and Efficiency, Activity Score, and more
- Get personalized sleep tips* to help improve your baby’s sleep over time
- Save up to 12 auto-captured Memories to an in-app baby album
- View 2 days of video clips from sound + motion notification events

Access the suite of Smart Notifications, including:
- Cry Detection. This feature alerts you only when baby really needs you, helpful at any stage!
- Baby Standing* (8 months+). As your child starts to be more mobile, this and the following smart notifications come in very handy. With Baby Standing and Child Out of Bed (below), the Nanit camera’s algorithm utilizes advanced body position technology to track movement within the crib or bed. Baby Standing, notifies you when your baby stands up in the crib
- Child Out of Bed* (16 months+) Once your baby turns 16 months, if Nanit detects that your child has left their bed, you'll receive a notification
- Alert Zone. Exclusive to the portable Flex Stand, the Alert Zone feature lets you define a specific area within Pro Baby Monitor’s view as the "Alert Zone." Should the system detect motion within the off-limits zone, you’ll get a notification via the Nanit App

- Unlock Sound + Light’s OK to Wake feature that uses the Baby Monitor insights to trigger the smart routine

2. Memories Plan
The Nanit Insights Memories Plan includes all the helpful benefits of the Sleep Plan, then adds on a few more. Most notably, Memories boosts your capabilities, giving you access to more data (and cute moments!) and letting you increase the number of users that are part of your caregiving village.
Here’s what to expect from this Plan:
- Everything that’s part of the Sleep Plan PLUS:
- Up to 10 users on your parenting team. Rest assured, you get to control how much access users have–from full access (Admin) to select capabilities (Viewer) to only being able to utilize the app when connected to your Wi-Fi network (Local WiFi-Only Access)
- 2 days of continuous Video History playback so you can rewind and rewatch every moment
- More days (30) of sleep analysis* and reports in the Dashboard. Nanit reviews 30 days of your child’s sleep history and compiles sleep summaries for you based on that data, which can be viewed in a day, week, or month view
- More storage for auto-captured Memories! Save up to 200 Memories to in-app baby album
- A new type of Memory: auto-captured Watch Them Grow time-lapse videos.* This feature auto captures pictures of your child in the crib and creates growth compilations. An expansion of the Growth Tracking feature offered with the Sleep plan. Once enough data is collected, this feature sends you a video so you can literally see your child grow!
- More days (30) of video clips from motion and sound notification events.

3. Milestones Plan
The Nanit Insights Milestones Plan is our most comprehensive and includes access to the most data. You’ll also get valuable new features such as videos of your child achieving exciting milestones and advanced sleep analytics.
Here’s what to expect from this Plan:
- Everything that’s part of the Memories Plan PLUS:
- Access a full week (7 days) of continuous Video History playback
- Track your baby’s Head + Body Position* to understand their patterns. In the newborn and early infant days, being aware of your child’s sleep patterns and positions can help you prevent potential issues like torticollis and plagiocephaly. - Receive auto-captured Developmental Milestones*: This feature compiles and sends you video clips of your child first accomplishing and later achieving exciting milestone moments that happen in the crib such as rolling over, sitting and standing up. - Unlimited days of sleep analysis* and reports in the Dashboard, so you can see how your child’s sleep changed from day 1 all the way through toddlerhood and beyond!

Can Nanit be used without an Insights Plan?
You won’t have access to as many features, but yes. Even without an Insights plan, you’ll still be able to:
- Have up to 2 users
- Use sensor-free Breathing Motion Monitoring. This feature is available whenever your baby is wearing Breathing Wear, our baby sleepwear line featuring a unique pattern, custom-designed to enable the Pro Baby Monitor to accurately track your baby’s breathing motion.
- Use two-way audio to speak through the camera
- Have access to the Baby Monitor’s built in nightlight and nature sounds like white noise
- Get real-time sound and motion notifications, as well as monitor temperature and humidity levels in your baby’s sleep space
- Log and track all of your Care Log activities. Care Logs is a baby tracker feature that helps you and your parenting team keep track of important daily details like feedings and diaper changes, all within the Nanit app.
- Use the Split Screen feature that lets you view two kids (or three if you have an Android device) on one device simultaneously.
- Control Sound + Light in the Pro Baby Monitor app
